We tried Astronaut Steaks, So Insane | SpaceX Food!
Being an astronaut is not easy and sometimes you have to eat some very interesting foods. Today we tried out the astronaut steak, I made 4 of them cooked them sous vide and man these were some steaks we will never forget.

Have you ever cooked a non re-hydrated steak? I would think that it's similar to an aged steak that has lost some of its moisture.

Question. What if you rehydrated with just weight loss in water, then season and sous vide?

I want a lot more sides. Your mashed potatoes rock. How about yams? Or greens? Or, anything side dish sous vide style. If you already did, I haven't found them yet. Just carrots and corn.

My favorite pattern is meat and all of the close ups of the steaks are fascinating
Why not rehydrate with bone marrow that is liquid form. I'd like to think this would infuse the steak with the fatty flavors. Especially when it turns back into the "jelly" butter substance it was originally. I feel like this might be the magical liquid to use (just try not to over do it, otherwise It'll taste way too different)
